Revolution Medicines and BeOne Medicines are joining forces to test new drug combinations aimed at cancers driven by RAS mutations, while also expanding access to Revolution Medicines’ experimental treatments in selected Asian markets.
The agreement combines two parts: a clinical collaboration focused on potential drug combinations and a regional licensing deal covering four of Revolution Medicines’ clinical-stage RAS(ON) inhibitors.
RAS mutations are among the most common drivers of cancer, but developing effective treatments against the proteins has been challenging. Drugmakers have increasingly focused on targeting RAS in its active, or “ON,” state, with several therapies now moving through clinical development.
Revolution Medicines is bringing four such drugs to the collaboration. The group includes daraxonrasib, which targets multiple RAS(ON) variants; zoldonrasib, designed to selectively target RAS G12D; elironrasib, which targets G12C; and RMC-5127, aimed at G12V.
The companies plan to investigate these medicines alongside two candidates from BeOne’s oncology pipeline. One is BGB-58067, a PRMT5 inhibitor designed to work through a mechanism involving MTA cooperation. The other is BG-T187, a trispecific antibody targeting EGFR and MET.
Initial studies will pair BGB-58067 and BG-T187 with either daraxonrasib or zoldonrasib. The goal is to determine whether attacking RAS-driven cancer through multiple biological pathways can produce stronger anti-tumor effects.
The second part of the agreement gives BeOne exclusive rights to develop and commercialize Revolution Medicines’ four RAS(ON) inhibitors in selected Asian markets. In some markets, BeOne will hold commercialization rights only.
Revolution Medicines will remain responsible for the development and commercialization of the drugs outside the licensed territories, including Japan and South Korea. The company will receive development and sales milestone payments from BeOne, along with tiered royalties based on sales in the partnered markets.
BeOne will also take responsibility for funding and running a global Phase 3 registration study for one of the Revolution Medicines RAS(ON) inhibitors. The Chinese oncology company plans to use its internally managed development infrastructure to conduct the study.
For Revolution Medicines, the partnership provides a route into Asian markets where it does not currently have the same commercial presence. For BeOne, the deal adds a group of late-stage RAS-targeted programs to its oncology portfolio while creating opportunities to combine them with its own experimental drugs.
The companies did not disclose the specific RAS(ON) inhibitor that will be selected for the Phase 3 study.
The deal comes as competition around RAS-targeted cancer therapies intensifies, particularly in tumors carrying KRAS mutations. Researchers are pursuing drugs against several RAS variants, including G12D, G12C and G12V, in an effort to expand treatment options beyond the first generation of targeted therapies.
Both companies said the collaboration is intended to accelerate development and broaden the potential use of RAS-targeted treatments across different cancer types and markets.
